What do you do with a Nope?
What do you do with a nope?
Do you give up and say there’s no hope?
Do you laugh? Do you cry?
Do you keep asking why?
Do you sit around listless and mope?
Do you face it with strength in your eye?
Do you take in a breath of the sky?
Do you stand up and say,
“Today’s not my day,
But tomorrow’s a new day to try.”
Tomorrow’s a new day to go,
To open new doors high and low,
To take it all in
And try it again,
And finally say yes to your no.
So what do you do with a nope?
